Privacy Policy

This Privacy Policy explains how ZeroShot Tech Private Limited ("huntt", "we", "us") collects, uses, shares, and protects your information when you use huntt. It is published in accordance with the Information Technology (Reasonable Security Practices and Procedures and Sensitive Personal Data or Information) Rules, 2011, the Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023, and other applicable laws.

1. Information We Collect

  • Account & identity — such as your phone number (used for OTP login), WhatsApp number (for job alerts), email, and name.
  • Career data — such as your resume, work history, skills, and salary expectations.
  • Activity data — such as your conversations with the assistant, searches, jobs viewed, applications, and resumes huntt generates for you.
  • Technical data — such as device, IP address, and approximate location.
  • Payment & transaction data — such as your subscription plan and purchase history. Card payments are processed by the app store or our payment provider; we do not store your full card details.
  • Social login — if you sign in through a third-party service (such as Google, LinkedIn, or Apple), the basic profile data they share.
  • Anything you choose to share — including any information you enter in your conversations with the assistant or otherwise provide to huntt (for example through support requests, surveys, or future features). Because the assistant is open-ended, you control what you share with it, and anything you share may be collected as described in this policy.

2. How We Use Your Information

We use the information we collect for the following purposes:

  • To provide and maintain our services, for example to run job searches, match you to roles, and customize your resume;
  • To improve and develop our services, including training and improving our AI models, and conduct research, for example to refine how our assistant responds and build new features;
  • To personalize your experience, for example to recommend relevant jobs;
  • To communicate with you, for example to send job alerts, notifications, and support responses;
  • To prevent fraud, misuse, and security risks;
  • To comply with our legal obligations;
  • And for other purposes related to operating, protecting, and improving our business, or as otherwise described in this policy or permitted by law.

3. How We Share Your Information

We share your information only as described below:

  • Service providers — we use providers to help operate and improve huntt, such as hosting and cloud infrastructure, AI providers that power our assistant, analytics, payments, and support. They may access your information only to perform services for us, are required to protect it, and may not use it for their own purposes.
  • AI processing — to provide features like the assistant, resume customization, and interview prep, the information you share (including your resume and conversations) is processed by third-party AI providers acting on our behalf. Some of these providers may be located outside India, and your information may be processed in other countries.
  • Recruiters and employers — where you choose to apply or make yourself visible, we share your profile and resume with recruiters and hiring partners so they can consider you for roles (see Section 4).
  • Legal and safety — we may share information to comply with law, enforce our terms, or protect the rights and safety of users, the public, or huntt.
  • Business transfers — if huntt is involved in a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets, your information may be transferred as part of that transaction.

4. Recruiter and Employer Access

Connecting you with recruiters and employers is a core purpose of huntt. By using huntt, you consent to our sharing and making available your profile, resume, and application information to recruiters, employers, and hiring partners — including, where applicable, by making your profile available or searchable within candidate databases — so that you can be considered for career opportunities. We do not sell your personal data to third parties for purposes unrelated to connecting you with career opportunities. When recruiters, employers, or hiring partners receive your information, they do so as independent data controllers responsible for their own use of that information under applicable law, and huntt is not responsible for how they use it.

5. Cookies and Similar Technologies

We use cookies and similar technologies to operate huntt, remember your preferences, keep you signed in, analyze usage, and improve and personalize your experience, including for analytics and advertising. You can control cookies through your browser or device settings, though some features may not work properly if you disable them.

6. Data Security

We use reasonable technical and organizational measures designed to protect your information from loss, misuse, and unauthorized access. However, no method of transmission or storage is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security. You are responsible for keeping your account credentials safe.

7. Data Retention

We retain your information for as long as your account is active and for as long as necessary to provide our services, and we may retain it for longer where needed for legitimate business purposes — such as complying with legal, regulatory, tax, or contractual obligations, resolving disputes, preventing fraud and abuse, and maintaining security. You may request deletion of your account, after which we will delete your personal information within a reasonable period, except where we are permitted or required to retain it. We may retain, use, share, and commercialize aggregated or de-identified information, which no longer identifies you, for any purpose and indefinitely.

8. Your Rights and Choices

Subject to applicable law, you may have the right to access, correct, or update your information, request its deletion, withdraw consent where we rely on it, or nominate another person to exercise your rights. To make a request, contact our Grievance Officer (Section 11). We may need to verify your identity before acting, and some requests may be limited or refused where permitted by law — for example, where we are required to retain information or where a request is excessive or unfounded. You can also manage certain information directly in your account.

9. Children

huntt is intended for users who are 18 years or older. We do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 18. If you believe a minor has provided us information, please contact our Grievance Officer and we will take appropriate steps.

10. Changes to This Policy

We may update this policy from time to time. Changes are effective when we post the updated policy with a new effective date. Your continued use of huntt after changes take effect constitutes your acceptance of the updated policy.

12. Use of Google Services

huntt's use and transfer of information received from Google APIs will adhere to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements.

13. Legal Basis for Processing

We process your personal data on the basis of your consent (which you provide by using huntt and agreeing to this policy), to perform our services, to comply with our legal obligations, and for our legitimate business interests as described in this policy.
